can any one help i have had a few problems with my nissan 2003 dci 2.2 but this really is getting to me i have a steep drive to my house if i drive up forwards and leave it there over night starts fine in morning but if i reverse and have it face down hill it takes ages to fire upin morning really p..s me of any suggestionsOuch

Hi Dave. Silly question I know, but have you got enough fuel in the tank? as it seems when the fuel is at the back of the tank it is picking it up no problem.
I had the same problem about 5 years ago and it turned out to be the [SCV] Suction Control Valve on the pump.
It took a long time to develop as I kept running it until one day it would not start at all. LOL
Other symptoms were, it kept going into Limp Mode when I was at traffic lights etc.ticking over for more than a few seconds. But a quick restart cured it until the fateful day it gave up the ghost.

hi many thanks for your reply yes plenty of fuel in tank i was thinking suction control valve has well  my car ticks over nicely not rough was yours the same

well all fixed/ fuel filter changed and also found a split in pipe so new pipe and shes running spot on

I remember an issue with my filter, it would start, with loads of black smoke, then finally not start at all. Simple fix when problem identified
