Hello Apologies – I’m not the Primera owner! I’m here trying to save my 80yo neighbour’s 2001 P11 1.6 for him (which he has owned from almost new - very low mileage).
It's a clean original car but won’t start and long story short (one new fuel pump later), it seems that the car is not supplying power to the pump (checked under rear seat). Everything else on the car works, the car starts and runs fine when the pump is hotwired direct in situ, all the fuses and pump relay appear good and there are no lights on the dash when it is running. The immobiliser light goes off when the key is inserted into the ignition.
Is there something P11s do that can cut off the electric supply to the pump? Any pointers or similar experiences will be very much appreciated as I'm out of ideas! Thanks, Hugh |
