SR18 timing question

   HI..
im from niue island..south pacific..
im looking for a manual for the timming of my sr18 nissan primera..i have a recondition engine from nz
but it seems that the timming is out,its turning alright but when it start ..sound like a old man goughthing..it miss a lot..so if any one can help me out..please..feel free to give me a hand..
