I will have 2 months of perfect idling & power and then all of sudden it idles around 600rpm and feels like a truck.
I don't think its anything mechanical because it's so intermittent. I think it's something to do the fuel system. I put in Redex every so often but no improvement. The first wife was a primera and she great. Old age got the better of her  Thanks for you concern guys, but I think it might be time to end the relationship .  I need car guidance counsel. |

redex....oooh....not really the best thing for these motas.....
you tried cleanin the maf sensor with some carb cleaner?....assum you done the usual, replace all serviceable items, plugs fuel filter air filter etc etc.....

I have a P11 144 and have just bought a manual which I have just found out is only available on CD. I am not hot with motors, like most of you guys but thanks for the tip. I will read up and certainly give it a go. She always gets regularly serviced. But mechanic is not top notch, may have to ditch. |

Aha.. A 144!
Big welcome to NPOC fella
 You'll be sorta pleased to know that we see these issues with the 144 on a regular basis. Your first post just said you had a P11.. As you have confirmed it's a 144, do NOT spray your MAF with carb cleaner.
We are aware of dodgy MAF's on the 144 as well as coil packs failing.. Your symptoms fall into both of them, so that would be a starting place.
