Hello, I am quite a beginner with cars.

So I just bought the car recently(2002) and the display screen is empty. Any idea what problem it could be? The DVD player is below the seat though.

Hi. Welcome to NPOC. Handshake  Check all the connections around the unit,unclip & reclip, If it doesn't work then, try some gentle heat on the unit as sometimes a part of the board inside lifts and breaks contact.
There is a "How To" on here that will tell you how to cure it. Thumbs Up

Thanks! So I just need to take out the DVD player out from below the seat and just follow the steps shown on the website?

Be careful with the wiring under the seat though, it sometimes makes the Airbag light come on. Ouch
