Nissan Primera P12 Hissing air intake and oil mist

   Hi

Two things with my 2004 2.2dci !

There's a loud "hissing" noise from about 2.5k which is engine load dependant, i.e if you just rev the engine when stationary there's no noise, power is down a little as well

sounds like it's coming from near the battery side of the engine, guess it's a split pipe somewhere but not sure when to look, have taken off the air intake/maf pipe to get a better view but can't see anything obvious

also noticed there's lot of oil "mist" around that area of the engine bay (see attached) , when i took off the pipe with the MAF, on the engine side of that pipe it's a little oily inside the pipe (not the maf) so guess thats coming from the breather pipe

any thoughts? , mainly on the hissing noise?

	Sounds like you have a leak on the turbo hoses/ intercooler. if you are lucky might be a connection
