im sure many will say it but it aint 'easy matching 200BHP without a turbo mate, and you need a hell of a lot of engine work to get above 180BHP on the SR20DEs

welcome to the forum mate, and nice looking OEspec you got, as mentioned not many left now,

Sure did! Was it yours or are you an Auto Trader devotee too? My missus calls it "my other woman!"

...but not, apparently,  it's price!  Wish I'd found you guys before I went shopping.  Starting to feel worried I've been mugged, or do you have particularly high standards?  Legend status suggests so!

I made him sort out a few things but, to put my mind a ease, please PM me what faults you picked up.

Thanks all for the warm welcome,  and btw, a turbo isn't just about speed or BHP, it's about the whoooosh...tish!  Mmmm, dump valves!

trust me... it cant LOL

most turbo'd primera's have FMIC's, adjustable FPR's, uprated fuel pumps and something to control the mixture a bit differently... its part of the "must do to get it to work" list... so theyre never gonna give stock power outputs

the only way you're ever gonna get close to a DET'd Primera with a DE is by fitting a full on BTCC race spec engine, even then, the costs of flipping it round so it gets enough ram air into its trumpets will cost you more than a DET would

Dito what David has said. To get mega power from a stock N/A SR20 you have to spend mega bucks, just ask our residident P10 expert and myself. A top engineer once said to me "The SR20 engine is a lot like a Porsche engine, it has been so well engineered you have no need to touch it". Thing is we all want more power from our prims. David is only one of a small handful of people that successfully transplanted a GTIR engine into the prim.
