Hello from Norway

I have been on the forum a while back.
But now I have a new car. (Have owned it for just over 1 year now)

My name is Dan Steffen and I'm almost 22 years and comes from Norway:)

Here is my Nissan Primera P11-144 Elegance
Engine: SR20DE

Some of what I have done with the car:

- Exhaust header (Toyo Sport)
- Apexi Air Filter
- MAF from eBay. (works just great)
- D2 Racing coilovers
- STCC rims painted in gold
- Muffler 4 ". Will switch to 2x3" mufflers
- Honda integra replica wing
- After mounted Xenon
- And probably some other small things I forgot: P

Future plans:

- STCC eyelids
- S3R cams
- 2.5 "exhaust
- Has a great desire for wide wheels. : D

+ more

When I bought the car:

And now it look like this:

It sounds good :)

Do you have a web address or something?
Yes, it will cost a bit to get it sent to Norway, I believe.

I have GT brace. But I have coilovers, which makes it much modification to get it towork well :)

Therefore, I need one that can only be screw on the top of the suspension towers :)

We have nothing like this in Norway: (only OEM GT brace)

Is it easier to get a strut bar that sits just two bolts then?
Or are they too hard to find?

Hmmm, just spotted this.

As Nielistic says, it is nothing more than a resistor.  It will fit in the wiring in place of the Intake Air Temperature Sensor, and simply fools the ECU in to thinking that the incoming air is permanantly cold.
A cold air intake with heat shielding will do a much better job.

These are also advertised for (amongst many others) 3.3L Chrysler Voyagers.  The 3.3L Voyager doesn't have an IAT, so the instructions say to fit it to the coolant temp sensor instead.  Yeah, right.  Then one day you lose coolant, the engine overheats but the gauge doesn't move and ..............

Looks awesome in this pic...

But I think those STCC headlight covers are HORRIBLE and SILLY. They make the car look like Deirdre Barlow Thumbs Down

I also dislike the lightbrows as shown on Derek/Paul's old 144 pictured above. The way they chop off the top of the nicely shaped front repeater isn't good in my opinion.

Also, I see you have a Nurburgring sticker. Have you taken the car to the 'Ring?

Rocker cover looks smart Thumbs Up

Oi! That's MY car now! LOLLOLLOL

Actually, speaking personally I wasn't a big fan of the front end of the 144, it looked too much like an almera instead of having it's own identity, I think the brows make a big difference and make it stand out on it's own as a Primera.

I'm fully aware that it's yours now mate Thumbs Up

I've always loved the front end of the 144. It was definately one of the major improvements over the P11. Much more modern looking. For me, the Primera has never has never had an identity crisis, and if anything, I always thought it was the N16 looking a bit like it's older brother rather than the other way around. As said, I'm just not a fan of the light brows at all. As well as the problem with creating an oddly shaped indicator, it covers what I think is a great looking front light cluster.

Have you got anything else planned for it ?

Hard to say :P

I want, new rims. 8" x 17" with a little tire stretch:) ( Very hard to find rims that wide here in norway, for 4x114,3 )

And SR20VE engine:)

Rear window spoiler is painted and waiting in the garage.

Spacere on the black STCC rims. 20mm rear and 15mm in front i think:)

Personally, I love this 144, genuinely do! Whoever said or for whatever reasons you couldn't take that car inside to show it off, at the show, is simply retarded! It had every right to be inside, it's beautiful :)

I've gotta be honest about your front splitter / addition however, it's nasty :( ONLY because it doesn't tie in with, or follow the lines of the sideskirts / side of the car.. At the moment, it's just too low to work from the side on. It actually looks OK front on, just not from the side. If you're looking to do something with deeper sideskirts or something on the sides, I'll wait to see.

I've been to Norway a couple of years back and spent time with one of Norwegian members on here and I saw a lot of nice cars.. BUT without doubt, the nicest car I saw, was his P11 GT.. In fact it was the only Primera I saw at all, in Norway. So it's a rare car out there and BIG respect to you, for modifying a Primera, when it would be a lot easier to take on a model of car that is more popular in the modifying scene.

Keep it up - Top job so far (excluding your splitter haha!)

Inside the meeting is was Audi A4, BMW M3 E46 etc with air suspension , wide wheels and generally a lot nicer than my car.
Had not gotten any trophies anyways : P

Yes, you are welcome to make your opinion about the front lip :)
I appreciate your feedback :)

And I totally agree with you , it is too low considering the side skirts and rear bumper . But what can you expect when it's a Original Toyota corolla front lip : P hehe

I've actually been thinking about removing it and customize a Cupra R lip . I think it had been a little nicer. For this is not as low as the one I have on the car now and then get the car a little more anonymous lookin with Cupra R lip :)

Primera is starting to become rare cars really. So I suppose I'll treat her nicely and take good care of her :) There are not so many that modify these cars anymore. As well , some do :)

Oh yeah . If you are going to Norway again let me know :) So maybe it had been possible to meet each other and talk about cars :)

Hope you understand what I write. English is not my strongest side : P

ragt20:
Thank you :) It's nice and hear.

the rear wing is quite nice, I'll actually agree with you. hehe
Have been thinking of Impul wing :D

Yes, agree with you about the front lip. (But read over here :D)

And one more thing:  Are there any of you here know if the seats from a Nissan Skyline GTR R32 fits in a Primera P11-144?

I have been offered to get two seats for the price of nothingRockon

Thanks :) The lip is probably a bit overkill.
So you're absolutely right everyone here :)

No, it's true that with the seats. No harm in trying to mount it :)

Lovely car Dan, really like the mods you've done on it. I can kind of see what the guys are saying about the lip but the lights and the spoiler are just awesome!

Tbh, I'd be tempted to get the seats and make them fit, or at least, for the price of nowt it'd be worth getting them nearby to see if they did.

(And your English is spot on! It's better than mine at least )

don't think anyone has, but am sure, they wouldn't be too difficult to fit

Blue: Thank you for your nice comment :)
There are many who do not like the headlamps and the wing. And the little "round" shape of the car. But I think it is very nice though: D

I should probably just grab the seats and see if it fits.
If I have to make some new mounting brackets, well then I'll make it.

We are talking about original GTR seats. So it's worth it :)

ragt20:
I'll just try and see if it fits :) thnx:)

worse case you have to make a frame or adapt an existing seat frame to make them fit, you'll probably find a couple of the fixing points will probably be real close anyway...

as said, get the seats...worry about fitting them later..lol

The best had been to purchased two other original seats from a primera. And Taking the chassis on these and mount them on the GTR seats.

But it is as you say. Will pick up seats, and worry later. hahaTongue

Hello again :)

I promised you some pictures, and here they come :)

Went and snapped some quick photos today. There's nothing super "quality" of the images.
But it works anyway :)

Hope you enjoy these new pictures of the car.

I will be very happy if you comment my pictures: D

Thank you :)
I'm thinking of getting lowered the car a bit more in the front.
So then I can not have the front lip on my car. Then it becomes a little too low in the front.LOL

Yes, but it's a bit too low in the rear versus front :/
So it should be a bit lower in the front. But we'll see what happens after a while :D

Just edit the bracket, is it possible ?
Nice car, btw!
What is your impressions with orange Koni STRTs ?
How stiff are they , what about the rebound ?
I want to buy new set of shocks for the daily usage.
The 9/7kg  coils are too hard for every day.

Can buy two original Primera seats and move the chassis on the seats to the GTR seats. It's probably the easiest way :)

Thank you :)

I am very pleased with the orange Koni STR.T shocks
Rebound is not much to talk about. On a speed bump for example, behaves very nice. Up and down without any more bounce :)

Depends on the springs too. My car has Lesjoförs 40/40mm lowering springs. However, H & R, Eibach and so is probably even stiffer :)

going to and buy new STR.T to the front of my car too :)

I had Coils before, D2 racing. Spring rate: 9.8 / 6.2 kg
Very stiff for an daily driver:P But, very fun at the track Ony

Hope you understand my bad english :)

Your English is Good Thumbs Up

H&R and eibach spring are 2 of the best spring brands for primera's,few member's who have either fitted rate them highly.
