Very nice, good picture in the snow, how does your Primera like that weather?

Posted By: Zapoy

Well very good the vagaries of the weather, does not like the temperature from -30 and below (does not start). Rust is quite small. But the car is in a warm and humid garage and no rust can not do without.

I will free myself, I will write more detail about what is non-standard can be seen in the photos

With your permission I will write a bit more about the car.In the salon the following was done:Illumination of door handlesIn the case of handles a hole was drilled with a diameter of 5 millimeters, and a 5-millimeter yellow LED was put there.

Connected (+) from the illumination of the buttons for controlling the glasses, (-) first connected to the end of the handbrake, then connected to a separate button

Similarly, the backlight of the ceiling light buttons was made. Only there in the buttons there are holes with a diameter of 3 millimeters, there and put the corresponding LEDs.

Power supply (+) from the headlamp leveling illumination illumination, (-) to the button to which the illumination of the door handles is connected. The button was placed near the left foot, there is a suitable platform in the plastic.

Also, LED modules were installed in the ceiling fixtures, and then it became clear that making the button illumination very easy. The buttons themselves are initially transparent.

During the removal and installation of salon fixtures, plastic locks were broken and the housing of the fixtures. Thinking I saw the fixing brackets from the antiskirk brackets from the brake calipers (I work in the service and I have a lot of these pieces of hardware).

In the photo, the crossed out is the wrong version of the plate placement.

And these are photos of several meetings of the Perm Club of Nissan Primera P12. On the Internet, few people are active, so there are not many cars.
The very first meeting. March 2016. We formed recently.

May 8, 2016 met to compare the twins. Ridden each other in cars. Well, joined us one more person on the black example.  The rear left lantern was broken in me, I made a timepiece of red and transparent adhesive tape

And here it's cleaner, and the cars are washed. May month. They rolled around the city and then drove out of town. Ride each other on cars. We arranged a small race for dispersal from 0km / h to a certain distance 1.6 against 1.8.  I did not see much difference in the overclocking. Maybe 1.8 was faulty, maybe it was not overclocked specially. Forgot to remove the video only.
Among us here is a car of a Chinese manufacturer assembled in Russia. Lifan Serbrium. This is one of the former owners of Nissan Primera.
I myself work as a car repairman repairing Chinese cars

Welcome to NPOC

Very interesting posts
Is your Primera from Russia? I have looked at Russian Primera Club Website and there seem to be a mix of imported Japanese and European.

Date Posted: 01 Apr 2017 at 7:03pm
Yes. My Primera from Russia. She bought from an official dealer new. I am the second owner. But I had the opportunity to thoroughly study the history of this сar on the service base of the dealer. And I knew the owner well.

They collected them in England. But the quality of plastic and bodywork is worse than that of Japanese Primera. The English are more like European and Russian Primera. Japanese are Primera the principle others Primera.

We sometimes met near my garage. Diagnosed cars suspension, engine, well, and listened to various strange noises.

And then they met a man from St. Petersburg and his station wagon. From left to right. Universal 2.0 variator luxury package (xenon, hatch, leather interior), sedan 1.8 manual transmission. And my 1.6 manual transmission. Have looked the versatile person, have felt. I liked the body type myself, but for myself I would like 2.0 with a mechanical transmission (unloved automatic transmissions).
I already wrote that in Russia they love more sedans, then there are universals, but hatchbacks do not take root.

Almost immediately after the purchase, I changed the headlight washer to a separate button. Button for circuits with high current so putting it without a relay. From the BSM block, the appropriate (+) wire was cut off and connected to the button contact. (-) screwed somewhere in the vicinity of the steering column. From a positive headlight washer does not work when the windshield washer is working.

The duration of the washer depends on the duration of the button press and does not depend on the lights on. In our winter conditions, a rather useful refinement. Although someone is just pulling out the appropriate fuse

I put the button to the right of the steering wheel so it is more convenient for me. Most often the helm with the left hand and the right one is free. The button from the Russian car Lada 2110 and there she is responsible for the electric trunk, so the picture on it is appropriate

We test the revision. I went this week.

I removed the plastic that is under the steering wheel. Cut out the hole of the desired diameter.

Button in place

General view after.

Have a nice time of day. If I'm still not bored with you, then I will continue to give you a brief introduction to the car.

This, too, was done a long time ago. Going to the auto parts store, for Russian cars, I saw there different lights. Well, I bought a few pieces.

The one on the left in the photo was bought in 2 copies (I do not know what it is from) and installed in the back door.

The one that is on the right of the photos from the car LADA 2108 is the highlight number. It was bought 3 pieces. One in the backlight of the glove box, http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/924/AQh7in.jpg">

the other two on the highlight of the legs. Since I do not like LED tape hanging just like that, I decided to put these lights on.

Regular glaze of the glove compartment, and a lampshade from LADA - 2108.

In all plafonds, lamps with six LEDs were installed. In the future I think to remove the lamps and put a LED ribbon (warm white light) in the ceiling lamps, the cold white is already bored.

Many thanks. We are trying. Now I do less work on the improvements, the main one has already done. Now I do very little things.
It is now necessary to repair the BSM unit and to correct the earlier bypass of this block. The light in the salon does not work now.

With your permission, I will continue. In the car, the rear speakers were replaced. The regular speaker stopped playing, it was not possible to find a replacement on the disassembly. So I bought a set of 2 speakers and 2 tweeters. Well, why did I decide to put them in the back doors. Pishchalki also did not remain idle and were installed in the rear shelf.

I like sounding. I think now the front part of the acoustics, too, to change, but I want a good 3-component separate. And where to put the low frequency, without reworking the entire interior, did not come up with yet.

As was the vibration isolation of the doors. He did it only so that the speakers did not play in the iron door. The effect is sound became more pleasant. Well, the doors have become heavy and close with a deaf duel, and do not ring loudly.

To install new speakers, we had to cut out rings from plywood. With a tool, this is not difficult.
Compare the speakers
We install the ring at the door.

Sorry in the last message one picture is not inserted

Soon we will begin shipping, well, I'm on my next day off decided to walk to the river to see how it is there. The city of Perm is the Kama River, the distance to the river from my house is 6km. The level of water has been decently reduced, the remains of the sawn vessels still seen in the USSR are seen.

And this is from last year's photo-hunting. This year I will try to hunt, if possible. Sometimes, driving through the bridge from work. Have to quickly leave the car somewhere and run back to the bridge to take a picture of a Nybudt motor ship.

Well, today's state of the car. To wash while I am not going to roads dirty.

I have not been here for a long time. In the car, during this time, there have been some changes.
1. Instead of a mechanical gearbox from 1.6, a gearbox similar to 1.8 is installed. The gearbox is definitely not from Primera, it came without replacing the flywheel, drives. Changed only internal driveshaft. Also finalized the thrust of the gear shift in the native wings.
2. Found, finalized, and installed radiator grilles from the SR20 version.
3. The front right seat, passenger, in my configuration did not have adjustments for the cushion angle. At an autodismantling I bought a used seat. From it I took only a slide with a frame under the seat cushion. In his seat cushion cut out 2 holes for the adjustment knobs. Rearranged the entire back of the seat. It turned out, I think, fine.

From unpleasant. There was an accident at the end of 2018. I was innocent. I drove along the main road. A car flew across. The speed was about 30-20 km / h. I managed to put the car at an angle to the culprit of the accident. From the damage, my left main headlight burst. The glass remained intact, the reflector and the housing burst. One of the grille fasteners broke, the bumper shifted a little. In 2 places, he burst slightly. The headlight washer and its cover broke. Broke off the mounts of the left fog headlamp. I changed only the left headlight to the used one. Polished her glass. Replaced the headlight washer and its cover. The rest is soldered. Separated with the culprit on the spot for monetary compensation. He has dents on the front right wing, the right front doors, and the molding is broken.

The car was needed urgently and in good condition. There was a trip for 1000 km. Therefore, it was restored to the minimum. Completely completed in the summer of 2019. True, the bumper has not been painted for good. But it is plastic, which means it does not rust.

Our roads are mainly made of asphalt. Dirt is taken from roadsides, lawns. And in winter, due to the use of anti-ice reagents. Sand is also used. Well, temperature differences from minus to plus. Dirt roads remained. But there are not many of them in central Russia.

Hello. In our market, the choice of cars under 950,000 rubles is very limited. I couldn't get a loan. Therefore, new cars were not considered. I only considered the manual transmission; the other functions and configurations did not interest me. For this money we have cars until 2012 and there is little choice. I've been looking for more than a year. But a friend suggested I look at the Toyota Corolla 150. For some reason I didn’t even remember about them. Considered 3 cars, took the last one. There is an accident from the rear right fender to the front right door. The wing was hit the hardest, but I'm glad they didn't cut anything. The rest is weaker. Price 850,000 rubles as of September 2022. But 2 sets of tires and a set of wheels and the price turned out to be 890,000 rubles. Engine 1.6 124 hp, manual transmission, initial equipment, but I have already equipped it a little.

Thank you. Well, in terms of suspension stiffness they are quite similar. They are certainly different in appearance. This example is more futuristic and not very time-sensitive. The Corolla is a classic sedan style. I really like the electric power steering in the Corolla; at speeds above 60 km/h it turns off and the steering becomes stiff. It's more pleasant to drive on the highway. Rear view camera is missing. I’m not upset by the lack of rear electric windows, and the lack of seat cushion adjustment in 2 positions. There is no climate control, but it does not cause any inconvenience. But there is a built-in electric heater in the heater.

This is what the salon looks like. The mileage according to the speedometer is 134,000 km, but whether this is real or not is 100% impossible to know. The steering wheel was made into leather, a retractable armrest was installed, in my configuration there was a simple armrest and a plastic steering wheel, after the Example it was a little uncomfortable.

This car brings back memories of my first car, LADA 2110. The color is similar and apparently they are used. There are common features, a scratch on the lower left side of the front bumper, standard fog lights which are not included in the package.

I switched all the lights in the instrument panel to green. There was nothing complicated there, I bought LEDs with the required base and installed them instead of lamps. A special “fetish” was finding buttons with green LED backlighting; at that time I saw 3 options for these buttons.
